Based in Sydney NSW, we are a run coaching and mentoring service for recreational runners of all abilities.



Our core aim is to inspire, motivate and support YOU to:

We recognise that each individual’s needs, goals and abilities are unique. Our ‘One Size Fits You’ coaching philosophy centres around building trust and getting to know and understand each of our runners. The output of this is a personalised program that is aligned to your specific needs and life commitments.  

We then work collaboratively with our runners and use the principles of coaching to motivate, guide and support each individual to achieve their goals and to become their best possible physical and mental self.

With a background in exercise physiology and sports science we understand that a holistic approach to running involves more than just personalised run programs. We are highly committed to maintaining strong working relationships with Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Massage Therapists, Sports Nutritionists and specialty running stores to ensure our runners are educated in the areas of running technique, injury prevention, footwear, nutrition and recovery.

We believe that with the right knowledge, skills and technique we can optimise your running experience and minimise the risk of injury.


Our Story

My life has been spent playing sport and leading a very active lifestyle.

Although I’ve always enjoyed running, it wasn’t until 2008, following a life changing accident that I had my first foray into the sport of triathlon and I was hooked instantly. Since 2008 I’ve participated in triathlons across all distances from sprint to Ironman. In recent years I’ve turned my attention to running and competing in events from 4km cross-country to 5km & 10km road races, half marathons, marathons and 100km stage (trail) races.

Professionally, I hold a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation as well as a Masters in Occupational Health and Safety. Although I started out working in Exercise Rehabilitation I've spent the majority of my career working in the field of health and safety in high risk industries. Despite being quite successful in this line of work, over recent years I've found myself growing more and more dissatisfied and unfulfilled with my career direction. 

At the end of 2017 I made a courageous decision to explore new opportunities that would enable me to combine my qualifications and underpinning knowledge in exercise science with my passion for running in order to make a real and positive contribution to peoples lives. 

And so….Running Mate was born!

  • 10hr 04mins Ironman debut at Ironman Australia in 2013

  • 2hrs 57min Marathon at Chicago Marathon 2018

  • 79min half marathon PB at the Greater Bank Sydney Half in 2018

  • 3rd overall in 2016 Capital to Coast 100km stage race
